Additional Reading
This pdf is a thorough document from the State Epidemiology folks from 2017. It has some very interesting background on a disease that is rather unique to Alaska
Endemic Foodborne Botulism in Alaska Natives
This is an article that again goes over Botulism. Quick read.
ANTHS ANTHC and ANMC Fact Sheets
This was recently updated and provides a very general (but helpful) overview of the Tribal health system in Alaska.
This is a document that goes a bit more in depth regarding the history of ANTHC and how the system came to be. If fleshes out some of the historical events leading to this unique system.
ANMC Antimicrobial Susceptibility Trends
This is a bit dense, but residents with a strong interest in ID may find it interesting.
This is from 2018, but provides a very useful picture of the health disparities in Alaska Natives. It is long, though these are helpful charts looking at top causes of death and how that compares to the general US population.
