How to get started?

Planning to get involved in research while you're at OHSU? Do these things first and you'll be well on your way!:

1) BRAND NEW: Visit the OHSU Scholarship Sharepoint for everything related to research, including our new Research Mentor-Project Database as well as Orientation to Scholarship documents (outlining scholarship requirements for the program): https://ohsuitg.sharepoint.com/sites/CMMT.IMResidencyResearch/SitePages/Home.aspx

Our existing OHSU scholarship website will continue to remain up for reference, but note that it may contain outdated information as we transition to utilizing the new website above.

2) Interested in completing a clinical project? Follow these steps:

  • Complete TWO CITI training modules: Human Subject Research (HSR) and Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR)

  • Register for OHSU eIRB: Click on eIRB system then click on registration (if you later get an email asking if you would like to register for eCRIS, the answer is no)

  • Complete a conflict of interest form

  • Sign-up and take RedCap Basics Training for Project Builders (complete this survey and you will be assigned the appropriate class)

3) Need help funding a research project?

If you need funding for an ongoing research project, considering submitting a Scholarship Travel, Research, & Publication Support form. You can download the forms for funding a conference presentation, scientific publication or scientific research. Please see our Residency Program Funding Policy or visit our Scholarship Resources website for additional details.
